S.A.D.

For me, winter always means a case of S.A.D. (seasonal affective disorder) a.k.a. the winter blues. To cope with lack of Sunshine and Vitamin D, I find myself eating an unreal amount of cookie dough and shopping!! I ha
ve a very strict schedule. Every week, after my Wednesday morning classes, I aimlessly drive through Tallahassee in search of cute boutiques and shops. Last weeks trip was more successful than usual. I found this amazing Lilly skort on sale!!

Now, all I can do is wait for the warm weather to come around.

How do y'all deal with the winter blues?

Bedding, OOTDs, and Longchamp

So much to do and so little time! I leave to go back to Tallahassee in exactly one week and I feel like I am nowhere near ready to move into my new apartment. Besides furniture, all I have for my bedroom is this comforter set.
I have a long, long list of things to get before move-in day. So, today's first outfit had to be extremely comfortable for both apartment shopping and walking around in the HOT Florida sun. Tube tops, shorts, and my Stephen Bonanno sandals are my uniform for summer.

I hope shopping doesn't knock me out too much. Tonight my parents and I are going out to dinner at my favorite spot right on Clearwater Beach. Family, great food, and an amazing sunset view, what more can a girl ask for?

On a different note, I have been in the market for a Long
champ Le Pliage bag for the past month or so. However, I can't seem to make a decision on what color to get. A pink seemed like the obvious choice, I mean it would match about 75 percent of my wardrobe. I'm just worried that I'll look way to 'matchy.'
Option Number Two for me is Beige. It would match everything, but is it a little blah?
My final option is just a plain white. I love how clean it looks, but it probably will get super dirty. What's the cleaning like for these bags?

Swimming in Pink and Green

Just because summer is beginning to wind down doesn't mean that swimming is. While many across the country participate in their country club's summer swim league, many more swim year round. No matter a swimmer's personality or style, swim companies such as Speedo, TYR, and Nike have a little something for everyone, even the preppy swimmers.
The most important thing a swimmer needs is a one-piece swim suit. They have many different styles in infinite patterns and colors. Swimming outside year round, I personally always go for bright colorful patterns in a super thin-strapped style. I basically want to keep the unsightly tan lines to a minimum.

Speaking of tan lines, every Floridian swimmer knows the importance of always keeping a 'training bikini' in their swim bag, especially those who swim outdoors. Some of these two-piece suits come in such cute styles they could double as a beach bikini.
And now on to the accessories, always the best part! Goggles are absolutely critical for every swimmer. It's not like the days of Mark Spitz where goggles were considered optionals. For those who don't want super big goggles that create the bug eye effect, I highly recommend using these Swedish styled goggles. It's almost like you're not wearing any at all.
The biggest downside to swimming is fact that the locker rooms could potentially be covered in germs. Don't get too grossed out though! The solution is simply a pair of flip flops. These from Tory Burch are the perfect and adorable answer.
Last, but definitely not least, a preppy swimmer needs a cute bag to carry all of their equipment in. The most popular option is a Speedo backpack. This style is perfect because it has tons of space and lots of extra pockets for an iPod, a wallet, or goggles. To jazz my backpack up I got my monogram embroidered on the top pocket. Can you get any preppy than that?

Plato's Closet find!!!

Today, I decided to run into the local Plato's Closet to see what I could get for the clothes I don't use anymore. While, waiting for them to go through my things, I stumbled upon the CUTEST Vera Bradley belt.Being a Florida State girl, I've been in a dire search of this retired pattern to sport at all the football games. I'm so happy that I finally found!!! And the best part, only $6. Such a steal!!!

I hope all the mommies out there have a FANTASTIC Mother's Day!!!
